![]() ![]() ![]() I get exactly the same diagnostic for each of my 14 UHD discs (5 more coming in the next few days). To AnyDVD HD, these look just like normal blu-ray discs. & this thread for 4K discs, this post for Salt (4k): Incompatible LibreDrive! Please uninstall or update MakeMKV! How about this from my first post in this thread: So what, if any, is (are) the downside(s) of not having MakeMKV installed when AnyDVD encounters a disc that requests bus encryption? Is there a reason for me to install the latest version of MakeMKV and pay the $60 license fee? Now that I know that the version of MakeMKV from 2018 was a trial and not a licensed version (I didn't want to uninstall it until I determined this, and had a chance to recover my license information), I've uninstalled it and No Time To Die was extracted to an ISO without complaint. ![]() ", what happens if the disc requests bus encryption, and MakeMKV is not installed? My copy of MakeMKV turned out to be a trial that I installed in 2018, and the trial period ended long ago, so the only thing that makes sense with what I know is if AnyDVD 8.6.0.0 was the first version of AnyDVD interacted with MakeMKV as you've described above, as it seems, based on what testiles said above, ("I find I run into a bus-encrypted Blu-Ray in maybe around 1 out of 25 discs.") highly unlikely that 'No Time To Die' is the first disc that I might have encountered that requested bus encryption (but maybe not impossible).Īnd to SamuriHL's point, "If the disc requests bus encryption, and MakeMKV is installed, AnyDVD will invoke LibreDrive. my workflow has evolved to using WinISO to make iso backups of discs and then mounting the isos with VirtualCloneDrive to rip in jRiver - a lot faster than using the disc in 2 separate operatons), this is the only disc that's ever error'd out like this. I just want a simple way to play and edit HD video on my computer, without jumping through a ton of over-technical hoops.I'm still trying to figure out what triggered this failure. ![]() Every other program I've tried has either been way too expensive, stripped of options, or had so many I can't figure anything out. I've tried uninstalling, clearing the registry, reinstalling, and even using beta versions.none of it has restored full function. Well, it wasn't stalling when I first tried MakeMKV, but after the trial period expired, it hasn't worked right. Google can solve 99.9% of the problems you run into because someone has always run into the same thing before.īy the way, if MakeMKV is stalling, there is either something wrong with your optical drive, or your computer. It isn't plug and play, but it isn't all that difficult. Use the default Handbrake settings to start, then modify them and save them as presets as you solve problems, so it won't ever be a problem again. MakeMKV to uncompressed MKV, Handbrake to compress. ![]()
